Kathmandu: A total of 57,493 Nepalis have obtained labor permits for foreign employment in August this fiscal year. Of these, 50,770 are males and 6,723 are females. This is 6,600 more than in August last year.

In August 2080-81, 50,884 Nepalis had obtained labor permits for foreign employment. Earlier, 59,575 Nepalis had obtained labor permits for foreign employment in July. Of these, 51,430 are males and 8,145 are females.

Meanwhile, the highest number of labor permits were obtained for the UAE in August. 18,605 people have obtained labor permits for the UAE. Of these, 16,362 are males and 2,243 are females.

Similarly, 11,291 people have been approved for Qatar, 10,835 for Saudi Arabia, 4,215 for Kuwait and 1,888 for Romania.
