ABOUT THE COMPANY

Nepal Warehousing Company Ltd was created under Nepal’s Company Act, 2063 to meet the storage needs of farmers, traders, millers, and businessmen involved in the grain trade. These people often face problems like losing their harvest after it’s gathered, a drop in the quality of their grains, and difficulties in storing them for a long time in good condition.

To solve this, the Nepal Warehousing Company Ltd (NWCL) has built high-quality silos with a total capacity of 55,000 MT in three provinces: Province 1, Province 2, and Lumbini Province. These silos help keep the grains in good quality for a long time. NWCL also provides services like grain storage, auctions, bulk transportation, warehouse financing, and ensuring the quantity and quality of the grains. The company also offers insurance against risks and helps with bank financing. This storage system is expected to help grow industries like grain mills and feed mills, as these areas have a lot of grain production. Right now, the company mainly stores maize, soybeans, and wheat, which are used in feed mills. In the future, NWCL plans to store rice, and build cold storage for vegetables, fruits, and other perishable agricultural products.
