HETUADA CEMENT INDUSTRY HAS STOPPED ITS PRODUCATION

Makwanpur (Hetaunda), : Hetaunda Cement Industry Management has stopped the production for 3 weeks stating that various equipments of the industry need to be maintained. Vasantraj Pandey, general manager of the industry informed that although the industry was operational after the Badadasain holiday, the production had to be stopped from Friday due to the need for immediate maintenance of various equipment including the clinical machine.

He said that the production will be started as soon as the repair of the equipment is completed. “Approximately 400 metric tons of coal, the raw material needed by the industry, have been kept in reserve and we have called for tenders to purchase the remaining coal and given approval to the relevant parties, so we will start the work as soon as the repairs are completed”, said General Manager Pandey.

Since the industry was closed about 2 and a half months ago due to financial shortage, cement production started from the third week of August. During this period, 65,000 sacks of cement were produced and stored, and now the produced cement is being packed in sacks and sent to various cities including Kathmandu, Deputy General Manager Naveen Kumar Karna informed.

In the year 2033, in Lamsure of Hetaunda, the then government of Shri 5 established an industry with an investment of 1.5 billion, and commercial production started from 26th November 2043. At present, 180 people are getting direct employment in this industry including administration, storage, market management, limestone mining and labor staff. Although the industry has the capacity to produce 18,000 sacks daily, it is said that only 10,000 sacks are being produced recently.
